Jurgen Klopp provides Jota and Fabinho with news ahead of Liverpool vs. Chelsea

Jurgen Klopp provides Jota & Fabinho updates ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Chelsea

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has shared information on the fitness of both Diogo Jota and Fabinho following his team's victory over Sheffield United.

Jones on target

Not long ago, the Reds came to Bramall Lane to play their last Premier League match.

Jurgen Klopp's players, of course, entered the process in a terrible home environment, because of which they were defeated by the quartet in the last couple of weeks.

However, after West Ham and Chelsea had already lost points this weekend, Liverpool knew they would move two points from the top four after a recovery this evening.

And, apparently, this is exactly what the champions succeeded in.

After a goalless first half, during which guests had to open an account more than once, Curtis Jones finally broke the deadlock shortly after the break:

And 15 minutes later, there was a killer goal in the game, when Keane Brian parried a blow from Roberto Firmino in the face:

Meanwhile, amid a generally encouraging 90 minutes for his team, Jurgen Klopp also delivered some positive news to Liverpool fans about the full blown whistle at Bramall Lane.

This came in the form of fitness updates for both Diogo Jota and Fabinho.

Both players have been on the sidelines for some time now, and the former was actually determined to return to the fight tonight, only to get sick ahead of the clash.

Klopp, however, expressed hope in a post-match interview that Jota and Fabinho will likely return for the pick on Thursday night when Liverpool welcomes Chelsea to Anfield:

While Klopp insisted that Liverpool stay, Herman tipped for a job in the country as Gerrard could bring Anfield back.
