Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang congratulates former Arsenal team-mate Mkhitaryan on impressive Roma hat-trick

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took to social media on Sunday to respond to former teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan's latest performance in the lead role for AS Roma.

Giallorossi go further

Armenian midfielder Mkhitaryan, of course, moved to the Italian capital for a permanent place this summer after a good loan at the Olimpico stadium.

This put an end to a completely disappointing job in north London, where the Mosses fought for both form and fitness.

Meanwhile, in the early weeks of the new campaign, the 31-year-old reminded fans how impressive a performer he can be, shooting his best.

For 10 matches up to this point, Mkhitaryan has directly scored 9 goals.

And his standout show for the 2020/21 season took place earlier today.

This afternoon Roma went to Luigi Ferrari for the Serie A meeting with Genoa.

And Mkhitaryan went on to prove the undisputed star of the show, packing all 3 goals of his side, as the guests came out with a fully deserved 3-1 victory.

Auba reacts

Meanwhile, after featuring the best player of the match, Roma's midfield star quickly took to social media to celebrate receiving the soccer ball:

And, as mentioned above, one of Mkhitaryan's former teammates has since followed his example, expressing his joy to the Armenian.

We are talking about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who, of course, was next to Mkhi not only at Arsenal, but also at Borussia Dortmund.

The Gunners Captain posted a simple support message on his Twitter account:
