Leicester City kicks out of Europa League due to Abdullah Sima's brilliance

Leicester City crash out of Europa League as Abdallah Sima shines

Disappointing night

Leicester City kicked out of the Europa League after a horrific night at King Power Stadium. Their guests, Slavia Prague, were worthy winners with a score of 2: 0, but Leicester had probably one of the worst results of the season.

Leicester fell behind in the 49th minute, when Slavia made a long pass down the left flank and Nicolae Stanciu sent a high cross into the penalty area. Lucas An unmarked wire at the far post remained calm and passed the ball past Kasper Schmeichel.

An away goal meant Leicester had to score two to stay in the competition and Jamie Vardy was in the net 65th minute, but his goal was eliminated due to control of the ball in formation.

Despite all the attempts, Leicester never succeeded, and in the 79th minute they allowed Abdallah Dipo Sime too much time on the edge of the penalty area, and he shot into the bottom corner. The 19-year-old Senegalese striker is having a stellar season so far.

Brendan Rogers for the fifth time in a row could not get the team out of the 1/16 finals. Tonight's disappointing result followed further setbacks with both Liverpool and Celtic, which Rogers most likely would not have.

He will hope that tonight's result is just a flash, and he hopes the club will face Arsenal and Burnley again in the coming days.

Leicester is still among the top three in the Premier League and the FA Cup quarterfinals, but Rogers will be hoping the end-of-season form does not repeat itself, which sent them out of the Champions League at the end of the season. ...
