Former Arsenal couple Mustafi and Kolashinac lead rebellion against boss Schalke

Ex-Arsenal pair Mustafi & Kolasinac leading ‘revolt’ against Schalke boss

Speculation coming from the German media this weekend is pointing to former Arsenal couple Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac as the protagonists in an apparent attempt to immediately fire Schalke coach Christian Gross.

Shocking Schalke

The death of Schalke proved that today it is one of the topics of conversation in the German top division campaign.

This comes with the heavyweights at the height of the season of nightmares, which have only won them a single win in 23 games to date.

This, in turn, leaves Die Knappen languishing at the bottom of the table and looking ready for a crushing demotion to the 2nd level of German football.

The Gelsenkirchen unit, to their credit, did try to fix its problems last month by rushing to the market for much-needed reinforcements.

As a result, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolashinac (on loan) arrived at Veltins Arena.

It is clear, however, that such additives have not had the desired effect since then, as Hoffenheim's completely unexpected 4-degree wipe turned out to be little more than a flash in a frying pan.

And, as stated above, if the latest reports in the German media over the past 24 hours are to be believed, the winter arrival in Schalke seems to have been enough.

This comes amid claims that all three of the aforementioned stars are now opposing their boss.

According to Bild, despite denials from the club, Kolasinac, Mustafi and Huntelaar are moving forward with the initiative to immediately remove Christian Gross from his post.

This trio and many others are said to have disagreed with Gross's tactics, teaching methods, and communication:
